Euro 2012 Shirts

Euro 2012, also referred to as the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, will be the 14th UEFA European tournament for national sides. Poland and Ukraine will be the co-hosts for the tournament that takes place between 8th June and 1st July 2012. This blog will give you the chance to read about and purchase Euro 2012 shirts, that will be extremely popular when the competition begins.

This will be the last time that a European Championship is contested by 16 nations as this will move to 24 teams in 2016. 51 countries competed in the qualifying group stage between August 2010 and November 2011. The countries that will be competing at Euro 2012 so far are Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Holland, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine. 4 of these 8 teams competing in the playoffs will also qualify: Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Turkey, Estonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil. Euro 2012 jerseys will start being released for the tournament soon and fans will be desperate to get their hands on the latest releases. 8 stadiums will be used for the competition; 4 from Poland and 4 from Ukraine. The grounds in Poland are: National Stadium in Warsaw, Municipal Stadium in Poznan, PGE Arena in Gdansk and Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw. From Ukraine: Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Metalist Stadum in Kharkiv, Donbass Arena in Donetsk and New Stadium (no current name given, but Lemberg is being considered) in Lviv.
